Discover Better Movement: Introducing Gait and Motion Analysis at New Milton Foot Clinic
We’re excited to announce that our New Milton Foot Clinic now offers advanced gait and motion analysis services to help you stay active, whether that includes light day-to-day exercise or sports such as golf, football or skiing.
Whether you’re dealing with persistent foot pain, knee discomfort or back issues, our new service is here to help you move better, feel better and get back to doing what you love.
Why Gait Analysis?
Ever wondered why you’re dealing with aches and pains that just won’t go away? The way you move—your gait—could be the answer. Issues like misalignment, uneven foot pressure or poor movement patterns can lead to conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis or even knee and back pain.
But here’s the good news: gait analysis can pinpoint what’s causing those problems, so we can help you fix them. Our cutting-edge technology and tailored treatments address the root of the issue, helping you move comfortably again and avoid future injuries.
What Can Gait Analysis Help With?
If you’ve been dealing with any of these issues, gait analysis could be your game-changer:
Heel pain caused by inflammation.
Achilles tendonitis
Overuse injury of the Achilles tendon.
Shin splints
Common among runners and walkers.
Nerve pain between the toes.
Knee and back pain
Often linked to foot alignment issues.
By tackling the cause, rather than just the symptoms, gait analysis helps you move better and prevents problems from coming back.
Meet Footscan Technology
We’ve brought in the very best with Footscan technology, a state-of-the-art system trusted by top athletes and movement experts worldwide. Here’s why it’s so effective:
Unmatched Accuracy
Footscan measures your movement with incredible precision, giving us all the data we need to create a treatment plan that’s built just for you.
Clear Insights
With detailed 2D and 3D imaging, you’ll see exactly how your feet function —and understand how we can help.
Custom Orthotics
Based on your Footscan results, we design Phits 3D-printed orthotics that fit your feet and movement like a glove, giving you the support you need without unnecessary bulk.
Why Choose Phits Orthotics?
Not all orthotics are created equal! Traditional ones are based on static foot measurements, but Phits orthotics are designed using dynamic data from your Footscan analysis. They’re truly one-of-a-kind, just like your movement.
Here’s why people love them:
Precision Fit
Designed to an accuracy of 0.1mm, they offer support exactly where you need it.
Lightweight & Durable
Forget bulky inserts—these are sleek, strong and built to last.
Eco-Friendly
Made using recycled materials, so they’re good for you and the planet.
Proven Success
Loved by athletes like Paula Radcliffe and Charlotte Purdue, but just as effective for anyone who wants to move pain-free.
How Does It Work? 6 Simple Steps
We’ve made the process as simple and straightforward as possible:
At your initial Consultation, we will work with you to give you the best options for the best outcomes. If custom orthotics are indicated, we then progress to the next stage which is the 3D scanning appointment.
We measure your natural gait and movement.
We analyse using Footscan, we gather data on your posture, balance and how you distribute pressure when walking or running.
We create custom Phits orthotics tailored to your specific movement patterns and activity.
Your orthotics are 3D-printed to exact specifications.
Once your orthotics arrive, we’ll make sure they fit perfectly and work with your footwear.
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!
Do I need to be an athlete for this service?
Not at all! While many athletes swear by gait analysis, it’s perfect for anyone dealing with pain or discomfort—or even just wanting to improve their overall movement.
Will the orthotics fit in my shoes?
Yes! Phits orthotics can be designed for everything from trainers to work shoes, so they’ll work with whatever you wear day-to-day.
How long does it take?
The Footscan assessment is quick, but your Phits+ expert will then take time to design your orthotics and, once the prescription has been actioned, they will be ready in two to three weeks. You will then be contacted for a fitting appointment and be issued with both your orthotics and your personalised report.
